MASS helps with compliance

MASS supports the encrypted storage of identifying information and all attachments. Also, rather than accept PHI from your facilities or deliver PHI to your providers via email, we use our web portals to collect and distribute sensitive information securely. This protects you, your business partners, your providers and your patients.

The portals help with security and compliance

MASS handles encounter submissions and the encounters contains PHI. You might currently be receiving encounters via email or fax, but these delivery methods are inherently insecure. They were built to transmit information and they are great for that, however transmitting information securely was an afterthought.

The MASS portals are a web based method for accepting and distributing PHI. They side step the insecurity of other delivery methods and provide an easy to use interface through which you can exchange information securely.

Facilities can submit encounters through the facility portal and providers can provide credentialing documents, review their scheduling assignments and provide end of day reports via the provider portal. Access to the portals is controlled, monitored and password protected. Only authorized users can access the portals.

Our portals are hosted on secure servers in secure facilities and all communications with the portals are handled via HTTPS using TLS encryption. All attachments stored by MASS are encyrypted using keys unique to each customer.

How is email used

MASS does generate email but never includes PHI

MASS generates notifications to employees, providers and facilities but the emails we generate, if they are being used to provide or request information, contain links to the portals through which information can be exchanged securely. MASS never sends PHI via email.
